Healing Seekers is an educational resource serving the community and world as a 501(c) 3 nonprofit. The organization’s primary focus is providing video content and educational resources for public and private K-12 schools, educational venues, and the general public. Presently, Healing Seekers educational materials are available in more than 100,000 schools in the USA alone.
The Healing Seekers Team explores some of the most remote areas of the world such as the Amazon, the Andes, Madagascar, and Papua New Guinea. The most recent expedition was to a previously unexplored region of Africa’s Congo rainforest, considered undocumented in its flora and fauna.
Our treks into the jungle are filmed extensively, which allows us to create fascinating educational videos. These materials complement school curricula and learning objectives and encompass topics such as biology, physiology, ecology, geography, and social studies.
Healing Seekers' mission brings greater awareness to indigenous cultures around the world and the biodiversity of our planet while encouraging preservation and sustainability of the environments and their life forms.
The results of these explorations are fascinating stories of life. Capturing traditional, indigenous medical treatments, methods of healing and means of survival that have persevered for hundreds and thousands of years. Along the way, we make amazing discoveries and introduce extraordinary people.
As we immerse students in these isolated regions of Planet Earth, they gain greater insight into indigenous cultures and environments and the global assault on their native habitats. Students' hearts as well as minds are opened—creating empathy and compassion as well as respect for all people, flora, and fauna.
Bringing the indigenous world into classrooms brings a global perspective as students better understand their place in the world. Our journeys educate students about the world while they also explore the world within themselves.
