Peace be upon you, I am Adel from Gaza, I am 23 years old. My dream since childhood was to become a doctor, and with great effort I was able to get good grades in high school. I went to Egypt in 2019 to study medicine, and this was the beginning of my separation from my beautiful family, for whom I studied in order to be able to send support to them back home.
I am about to finish my studies at Zagazig University, but there is a problem I face in achieving my dream, which is the accumulation of university fees. I cannot complete the rest of my studies or enter what we call the excellence stage, in which I learn how to practice my profession after learning it theoretically, which lasts for two years and the fees are paid for it like any normal academic year.
This will not happen except by paying the accumulated university fees, which amount to $9,000, as well as paying the two remaining years mentioned above, which amount to $6,000. Please help me pay the university fees, as my future as a doctor has become almost destroyed. My medical studies were long, and I made a great effort to reach the end of my academic career in order to graduate and become a doctor and save my family, friends and loved ones in Gaza.
After the events that Gaza witnessed -- displacement and genocide -- my situation worsened and so did the situation of my younger brother, who studies with me at the same university and whose fees also piled up. My father lost his source of income from which he used to send us our monthly allowance at the beginning of every month, and life became very difficult for us. We cannot pay the rent of the apartment we live in because we do not have the money for that, and the owner of the apartment wants to evict us, and it seems that we will be pushed into the street if you do not help us.
My family used to live in our beautiful house in Rafah, but the occupation demolished our house and my family began to suffer in the tent.
We spent many nights losing contact with our family, and we were very distressed as we searched and wanted to get even one piece of information to reassure them and know that they are fine, and the price of this war was very high. I lost 11 members of my family and we suffered the pain of losing them. My brother and I want to send money home to help our family in Gaza also, but right now we are barely managing to care for ourselves.
Please help me and my brother to complete our education in Egypt so that we can pay the rent of the apartment we live in and provide a little food for ourselves, and so we can help support our family back home."
