Dr.Ali Dawed, 43 years old, is the only pediatric interventional cardiologist in Ethiopia who is currently working at the Cardiac Center in Addis Ababa. He performs various advanced endovascular cardiac procedures for children born with serious congenital heart defects. He saved numerous lives and positively impacted the life of thousands of Ethiopian children.

Dr.Ali, who is a father of three children was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and is seriously ill. The Medical Board of Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital recommended treatment abroad.
