Dockside Family Restaurant

This is probably one of the most difficult things I have ever done.  I’m not one to ask for help because I’ve always been too proud.  I was raised with the belief that you work hard for what you want and you don’t accept hand outs.  Well here I am, asking for help.  We have been in business for 30 years.  Some have been terrific, and some have been terrible.  The last couple of years fall into the terrible category.  Without going into the details, we have endured deaths in our family, trusting the wrong people, and even an overdose by an employee that resulted in his death.  That really affected our business.  It affected the morale within our company and almost tore our little work family apart.  We have worked hard to reinvent ourselves and to pull ourselves out of the slump we were in. This winter has been rough.  We were slower than usual and we scratched and scraped to get through it.  Finally spring was here and the light at the end of the tunnel was visible.  We were starting to make it to the part of the year that gets us through these long tough winters in coastal small town Maine.  Then this.  Covid-19.   Who could have known?  GoFundMe has a campaign going where they will match donations up to $500.00 for small businesses to get them through this unprecedented time.  We need a hand.  We want to continue to work hard once this is over.  We want to continue to support our community.  All donations will go 100% toward the business operation, including mortgage, insurance, and vendors until we can safely open our doors for business again.
