Hi guys, I hate having to come on here and even ask but landon has serve plagiocephaly and brachiocephaly from positioning in the uterus and prolonged labor. Basically his head is flat in the back and lopsided. If he ever wanted to ride a bike as he got older or do contact sports he wouldn’t be able to because his head would be unable to fit into a helmet due to it’s size and shape. We do tons of tummy time but the specialist expressed that it was something that would not fix on its own and needs a helmet for treatment and the sooner the better. I was hoping our insurance would cover at least a portion of the costs but was sad to find out that they won’t be covering any of it. As a single mom I’m working 50 hours a week to try and provide for him the best I can but doing everything on my own does unfortunately limit us financially. The cost of the helmet is 2,000 dollars so I’m hoping to be able to raise that amount but honestly anything helps! The sooner we can get started on his treatment the less time he needs to wear it and the more likely it is to take. Thank you all again for listening to our story and we appreciate your support !
