Dobbys femur repair
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Crystal Endlein. I have never asked anyone for money before; but it’s not for me. It’s for Dobby doo. I rescued Dobby 6 months ago. He was 6 months at the time and was only 4 lbs!!! Now mind you he’s an American Pittbull terrier (according to his dna) He was skin and bones, could not even lift his head. We did not think he was going to make it! He came from a poor situation where he was living off of his sister’s poop. He had no food no water for who knows how long. It took 4 months to get him looking healthier. He now weighs 27 lbs! And what a hunk he is! He loves to run and jump! He’s super with all animals and people…
Long story short this kid deserves a fighting chance!
Today, we found Dobby in his crate ready to go outside potty time! My fiancé took him outside for his morning wee and saw he was holding his leg up. I noticed him swinging it and my heart dropped. I knew something was wrong. He some how got his leg caught in the crate and he yanked it out over night. Now I didn’t hear him scream whine whimper nothing. So this poor kid didn’t ever make a peep that he was in pain. We brought him to a local vet, riverside animal hospital, they did a great job with him… Sad news Dobby has broken his femur. They said he must have really gotten it stuck for him to break a bone like that. But I’m thinking because he was so malnourished that maybe his bones aren’t as strong.
So I am reaching out for Donations to cover some costs of this surgery. They said it could be around $4500 to repair his femur with a plate. The only other options beside surgery include: leaving him with a twisted leg with nothing but a cast to help; or amputation.
If you are able to donate, know that it is to help this little guy get a normal life after the difficulties he’s already endured!
