My name is Dobby and I'm having a tough time lately. On Saturday March 20th my poppa noticed the whites of my eyes were yellow, so momma packed me up in the car & took me to the emergency vet. I was jaundiced & my liver enzimes were really high. I had to stay at the hospital all weekend. My momma picked me up on Monday morning and had to take me straight to the regular vet. Then they found a massive tumor. I'm a little dachshund and my body is pretty small, so there's no room for a tumor. The vet and momma & poppa decided that the tumor had to come out immediately. Surgery went well, but my liver didn't look good so they took a biopsy when they took out my spleen & the mean old tumor. The tumor was benign (finally some good news!), but my liver showed hepatitis. I was on 4 prescriptions for a week and got my 17 staples out on April 1st. I'm down to 2 prescriptions to help my liver and because I don't have a spleen anymore, and I'll probably be on them for the rest of my life. I'm a good boy, so as long as momma puts peanut butter on the medicine, I'll eat 'em right up. So far the bills are up over $4,700 We could use any help anyone would be willing to give.
