Dobbie needs a home
Donation protected
Unfortunately, today in Kalkan they pressed on with the governments directive of gathering up the street dogs and putting them into the government run dogs home. Anyone who has watched my stories/posts will recognise this beautiful ginger boy as our Dobbie. We met him at the same time we met Suzy, but decided against adopting him as he lived a very happy, free life on the streets and was very independent. Well, today he was rounded up with 6 other harmless street dogs and taken to Kas dogs home with no chance of freedom unless he was adopted. Kas dogs home is one of the better ran dogs home but it still offers no life for the dogs, in overcrowded outdoor shelters and dogs barking constantly it is a far cry from the days he spent lounging in the sun, playing with his friends on the beach and going to his favourite restaurant for some leftover steak. Luckily for Dobbie, we’ve managed to get him out but he cannot go back on the street and we must find him a home. If you’re interested in adopting Dobbie or any other Turkish dog about to face losing their freedom then please reach out. Otherwise, please donate whatever you can to help us raise money to have a better chance of securing him a home
