Better Future for Indigenous Youth
I was heartbroken with the recent findings of the 215 children’s bodies, buried and forgotten by our government and the Catholic church responsible for stealing these children’s future.
Just a couple of weeks ago, I was listening to the stories of the families of those children who said they never came back, and what struck me the most is that they were found in a mass grave.
I live near UNYA, and as I was waiting for my bus, I saw a group of Indigenous youth hanging orange tshirt cutouts. There was so much hope, joy and innocence in their eyes that made me more committed to be part of the change. As allies and settlers on these lands, we owe Indigenous youth a better future.
I'm raising money to benefit Urban Native Youth Association, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
