Help Liam's Medical Journey

Donation protected
Liam is 8 months old and battling with failure to thrive as he follows up with Gi, ENT, neurology, pulmonologist, cleft and facial clinic, genetics, early intervention, feeding clinics, and general surgery. This little boy needs his momma now more than ever, If you could please donate to help with medical bills, equipment for him to be able to go outside and help this momma be able to stay at home with her son as she is also working full time and handling all appointments and emergency visits. Below I will put Liam’s medical diagnoses that he has been battling. If you can’t donate please pray for this sweet little boy.
Liam follows with

GI- Manages His failure to thrive, G-Tube feedings, his severe constipation and his swallowing difficulties. He has been admitted 3 separate times for growth flattering. He requires weekly weight checks to continue to make sure he doesn’t trend backwards in weight.

Ent- He had a Modified Barium study that showed he silently aspirated in April . He had to undergo airway surgery to have a supraglottoplasty and Prolaryn injection laryngoplasty. They do not think that the surgery fixed his aspiration issues. He will be going to do a new modified Barium swallow in the coming months, once we see progress in his feedings.

Neurology- We are going to have sedated brain MRI in July to rule out Chairi Malformation. We also are having a video EEG due to abnormal movement liam has developed recently.

Pulmonologist- We are currently being treated for continuous Aspiration Pneumonia. We are on multiple inhalers and nebulizers daily to try and help with his very wet, and noisy coughing/breathing. We are having a Sedated CT of the lungs in July, and at some point his doctor would like to go into the operating room to look at his lung and airway further down. He is also scheduled to have a swear test done to rule out cystic fibrosis as well.

Cleft and facial clinic- We are seeing them as liam has very low tone in the Jaw, and keeps his mouth open quite frequently. ENT would like to make sure he doesn’t have any pressure against the jaw causing any issues on his swallowing abilities.

Genetics- We are currently awaiting insurance approval for Genetic testing. We are going to be checking to see if any of liam chromosomes are missing. Liam has many characteristics that indicate a potential Genetic condition.

Early intervention- Liam follows with EI 3 times a week, between PT, OT and speech. He is currently doing things that normal 6 month olds do, and not his average almost 9 months.

Feeding clinic- We see our local hospital for supervised feeding sessions to help Liams oral skills get better! He is working very hard on eating but he does still show many signs of aspiration that we are watching closely.

General Surgery- We follow with clinic for liam’s Gtube placement and follow up on his Nisan surgery. He will see surgery every 3 months for tube changes, and to manage things as he gets bigger.
