In Loving Memory of Do Phan Hanh (1939–2025), Supporting Immigrant Families This Christmas

This holiday season, we are raising funds in memory of my father, Do Phan Hanh, a first-generation Vietnamese immigrant who arrived in Canada in 1975 and dedicated his life to his family, his community, and to helping others find their place in a new country.

My father believed deeply in generosity, kindness, and giving back. Throughout his life, he took part in countless community and charitable events — always the first to lend a hand, share a meal, or offer words of encouragement. His story of resilience and compassion continues to inspire everyone who knew him.

To honour his legacy, we are partnering with Centre Lasallien, an organization I have been involved with for many years. Every dollar raised will go toward providing meals and essential food baskets to families in need this Christmas — a time when community and togetherness mean more than ever.

Our goal is to make sure that no family feels forgotten, and that my father’s spirit of generosity lives on through every act of kindness shared.

Tưởng nhớ Ba – Đỗ Phan Hạnh (1939–2025)

Chung tay hỗ trợ các gia đình di dân trong mùa Giáng Sinh này

Mùa lễ năm nay, chúng tôi xin kêu gọi đóng góp tưởng nhớ Ba tôi – Đỗ Phan Hạnh, một người Việt Nam di dân thế hệ đầu tiên, đã đến Canada vào năm 1975. Suốt cuộc đời mình, Ba luôn tận tâm với gia đình, cộng đồng, và hết lòng giúp đỡ những người đang tìm kiếm chỗ đứng tại một đất nước mới.

Ba tôi luôn tin vào lòng nhân ái, sự tử tế và tinh thần sẻ chia. Trong suốt cuộc đời, Ba đã tham gia vô số hoạt động cộng đồng và thiện nguyện — luôn là người đầu tiên dang tay giúp đỡ, chia sẻ bữa ăn, hay gửi gắm vài lời động viên. Câu chuyện về nghị lực và lòng trắc ẩn của Ba vẫn tiếp tục truyền cảm hứng cho tất cả những ai từng gặp gỡ và yêu quý ông.

Để tưởng nhớ và tôn vinh di sản của Ba, chúng tôi hợp tác với Trung tâm Lasallien, một tổ chức mà tôi đã gắn bó nhiều năm qua. Toàn bộ số tiền quyên góp sẽ được dùng để chuẩn bị bữa ăn và giỏ quà thiết yếu cho các gia đình có hoàn cảnh khó khăn trong mùa Giáng Sinh này — thời điểm mà tình người và sự gắn kết càng trở nên quý giá.

Mục tiêu của chúng tôi là không để bất kỳ gia đình nào bị quên lãng, và để tinh thần hào hiệp, rộng lượng của Ba tiếp tục được lan tỏa qua từng hành động nhân ái.

Nếu có thể, xin quý vị hãy đóng góp hoặc chia sẻ chiến dịch này để giúp chúng tôi hỗ trợ được nhiều gia đình hơn.

À la douce mémoire de Do Phan Hanh (1939–2025), soutenir les familles immigrantes pour Noël

En cette période des Fêtes, nous souhaitons amasser des fonds à la mémoire de mon père, Do Phan Hanh, un immigrant vietnamien de première génération arrivé au Canada en 1975. Tout au long de sa vie, il s’est dévoué à sa famille, à sa communauté et à l’entraide.

Mon père croyait profondément en la générosité, la bonté et le pouvoir de donner. Il a participé à de nombreux événements communautaires et caritatifs, toujours prêt à offrir son aide, un repas ou des mots d’encouragement. Son parcours, marqué par la résilience et la compassion, demeure une grande source d’inspiration pour tous ceux qui l’ont connu.

Pour honorer son héritage, nous collaborons avec le Centre Lasallien, un organisme auquel je contribue depuis plusieurs années. Chaque don servira à offrir des repas et paniers alimentaires à des familles dans le besoin — un geste concret de solidarité et de partage en cette période où la chaleur humaine est si précieuse.

Notre souhait est que personne ne soit oublié et que l’esprit de générosité de mon père continue de vivre à travers chaque geste d’entraide.
