Do It For Aiden

Aiden is a normal 12 yr old boy who excels in all areas of his life including Academics, Soccer, Little League Baseball.

The devastating diagnosis of Kidney Cancer was received on May 30, 2024. A mass the size of a small watermelon was removed along with one of his kidneys at the time of diagnosis.

The surgery turned life threatening when doctors severed his Aorta, having mistaken it for a vein running to the lacerated kidney. Aiden was placed in a drug-induced coma following surgery to assist his body in recovering from the traumatic surgery.

During Aiden’s 5 week hospital stay, he and his family learned that radiation and chemotherapy treatments would start 1 week after discharge, and continue multiple times per week for the next 6 months. The treatment schedule will require Aiden to be home-schooled in the fall, and his family to provide around the clock care during the 6 months of treatments.

Chemo and Radiation have hit hard. Fatigue, Pain and Nausea have made daily life difficult to manage. Between treatments, side effects and a compromised immune system, Aiden is not living the normal life of a 12 yr old.
