This round of fundraiser is for legal fees to a law firm who is helping us establish our nonprofit 501(c)(3) that will continue to provide resources and education to the community. Once this is established, tax deductible donations can be accepted.

We will also need legal fees to set up an election political action committee which will be able to accept unlimited personal and corporate donations. The PAC will support qualified candidates for School Boards as well as other local Fairfax County candidates. 

We feel this is the best way to right the system and change the way that FCPS is being managed.

Our mission at Do Better FCPS is to hold Fairfax County Public School leadership and School Board members accountable for providing a quality education given its $3 Billion annual budget funded by Fairfax County taxpayers. We believe the FCPS parents, students, taxpayers, and community all deserve better. Do Better FCPS wants:

4.) Focus on High Caliber Education

We do not believe we are currently getting any of the above to our satisfaction.

This fundraiser is solely to help pay legal fees being charged by FCPS for Freedom of Information Act requests to help support Do Better FCPS's search for real transparency and accountability as well as legal fees for us to set up our non-profit corporations. Do Better FCPS is currently filing to become a 501(c)(3) organization and Do Better Action is filing to become an election PAC.

Do Better FCPS is a fully volunteer organization with no paid officers or staff. Time and materials are donated or provide as in-kind services by group members.
