Help Tyrone Get Back on His Feet
One of America's genuine hero's needs your help!
We are the members of TMT, a senior citizens exercise group in Chicago. Our beloved exercise instructor, Tyrone Singleton, has suffered a devastating physical and financial setback. For a number of years Tyrone has lived with a severe and incurable, systemic autoimmune disease called Scleroderma. This affliction causes inflammation and hardening of the skin and connective tissue which also weakens the body and causes immense pain. It also affects the blood vessels, internal organs, as well as muscular function and the digestive tract.
Prior to Tyrone becoming an exercise instructor, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1985 to 1992. He was a Sergeant while in Kuwait during Desert Storm. In one of the photos, you see him in a helicopter during that time. Due to Tyrone's illness he has been unable to work as a fitness instructor which has been his vocation since leaving military service.
In May of this year, Tyrone's problems accelerated when he suffered a traumatic injury falling backwards while trying to rise from a chair. When he was taken to the hospital he was told that he had suffered a bilateral rupture of his quadricep tendons. This serious injury had resulted directly from his underlying Scleroderma condition. In order to repair the damage he suffered, he underwent extensive surgery of both legs. Currently, he is still recuperating and receiving physical therapy at home until he can return to some level of mobility. As must be apparent, it is unlikely that Tyrone will be able to return to his previous career as an exercise instructor and therefore does not have a means to earn a living.
Tyrone really needs our support and we hope that you can help us to help Tyrone by lending a hand to a worthy person who has suffered a setback. He was there for all of us when America needed defending and now it is our turn to be there for him. Please look into your hearts and give what you can to this very worthy man so he can move forward with his life.
