Recovery from Cervical Cancer

Bev and her husband Mike (Mighty Mike) as everyone knows him by own Mighty Mikes in Sterling and have since 2001. Everyone says owning a bar must be great sure it is until the monthly bills come in. 15,000 for this and 3000 for that and so on. They know they will never be rich owning a bar or even well off but seeing the same people day in and day out smiling laughing and talking from their seats or watching others throwing darts on one of the many boards mostly cussing because they did not hit the number they wanted to. They have had their ups and downs over the years with the bar but can never imagine a life without it. 2015 has been a tough year on Bev and Mike. it started with Mike tearing his rotator cuff just pulling a lawnmower cord. Then weeks later while in a sling the bars freezer froze up so Mike thought it was wise to climb 10 feet in the air to fix it. Mike falls off it tears the ligaments in the opposite arm. Now into slings he can't do much of anything. So if things aren't bad enough Bev finds out that she has cervical cancer. The doctors decided to do a emergency hysterectomy. Bev went in this past Thursday for a total hysterectomy in hopes that they can get everything out after which they will start radiation and chemo therapy. As we all know Health insurance is a big issue especially for people that own their own business they just simply can't afford to carry it. So in six short months bev and Mike have had three surgeries and are having to pay for all of it. As a family we are trying to help as much as possible but it's nowhere close to enough. Mike and Bev has done so much and continue to do so much for everyone else that I think they deserve help too. From the breast cancer fundraisers and walks to the wounded warrior Project fundraisers that are done several times a year in mighty Mike's bar. I ask that you please help if you can and let's try to make things a little bit better and easier on them for a bit
