Urgent: Save Our Only Means of Transport

Our only vehicle, my husband's truck with over 250,000 miles on it is dying. It needs a full transmission rebuild that would cost $6000. There is no way we could ever pay that. This is the vehicle that takes him to work, takes me to all my myriad doctor appointments, and is just the only thing we have for transportation. If we lose this, we lose everything.

What he really needs is another truck. Yes, the rebuilt transmission would keep it going, but he really needs a different, newer truck. He will never ask anyone for help but he will help anyone who needs it. He has hauled appliances for people he meets at the store and their items won't fit in their vehicle. He's transported fridges, washers and dryers, TV's. You name it, just to help another human. He is so good to others and always puts his needs aside. Now his needs have to take precedent and he needs transportation.
