Support Amanda's Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
Last week our sister Amanda was once again not feeling well and thought maybe it was her appendix. After going to Prompt Care first, Amanda was advised to go to Enloe Hospital. Subsequent blood work and a CT scan brought the most shocking and awful news, the findings were consistent with cancer, on her liver and intestines, and she needed to go see a specialist ASAP. The specialist confirmed the diagnosis of cancer and said it is stage 4 metastatic carcinoma. Our entire family is in shock and disbelief. This news came four months to the day we lost Dad to lung cancer from Vietnam and Agent Orange.
Amanda is tough and a fighter, and if anyone can beat this it's her. She's going to need help though. Amanda used all of her paid time off from work helping take care of Dad in his last few months and also helping as much as she could after Misty's accident and setback with having to have another surgery a month after finally getting to come home.
Amanda also takes care of her father in law and gets much joy from her job taking care of the students at school that need extra attention due to medical issues. She and her students are heartbroken that she won't be able to work for some time, but now Amanda needs to focus on beating this and let others help her, like she helps others.
Even with insurance, medical bills are going to be tremendous, and her husband, Justin, and son, Colton, will want to be by her side as much as possible. Arrangements for Amanda to go to a renowned cancer center in Texas known for helping with stage 4 cancers are being discussed. Any donation amount will help and be appreciated, but if you can't donate sharing and prayers are appreciated.
Thank you,
Misty & David Hoffman
