My two boys were on vacation this spring break, in which they were visiting California. Due to some unfortunate events, my boys were taken into custody by the State of California where they are now being held in foster care. I was given all inclinations by the state that by being the non-offending parent and not even with them on this trip, and also by having 50/50 joint custody of the children, thus making me an equal rights legal parent and guardian of my boys, that I should be able to acquire my children back from the state by showing up to a court hearing last Thursday with all of the proper and neccessary documentation, which I did. But due to some unfortunate circumstances, and intra state exchanges that must take place between Texas and California, I was unable to have my boys released to me and bring them home. I am now being faced with my worst nightmare, and I now find myself in the midst of a very tricky and complicated legal battle across two different states, just to regain my legal parental rights from the State of California. We may not always agree with all of the laws, but we must always still abide by them. For most of you that know me, you know that I am a very loving, involved, and caring father and that I always have my children's best interest at heart. Now we all know that lawyers are not cheap, and I am now having to acquire the services of two seperate lawyers, one from each state. Please help me to raise money for mounting legal fees and representation, and also possible traveling expenses back and forth from Texas to California. Please help me to get my boys home as quickly as possible so that they can return back to Texas where they reside, and so that they can return to their loving family members, their schools and sports teams, and just their everyday normal lives. WE WILL NOT REST UNTIL MY BOYS ARE BACK HOME INTO LOVING ARMS!!!
