Restoring Our Home

On Wednesday December 22nd at 2:30am we woke up to the sound of rushing water in our home. The hot water hose connected to our dishwasher had burst and our entire home was flooded.

We have a 2 year old and take care of my mother in law who is disabled. We had to move to a hotel until our house is restored. This transition has been less than ideal.

Luckily we have homeowners insurance, but we still have a hefty chunk of money we have to pay out of pocket. Our savings have been drained by food expenses, since we are unable to cook in our hotel. Mortgage is due soon, as is property taxes.

This year has been one tragedy after another. I'm incredibly grateful to have my family and friends with us through this all.
