Hello family and friends!
Thank you for taking the time to check out my page and seeing what I’ve been up to! As you may or may not know, I am studying chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA near San Francisco. I am currently in my seventh quarter and I'm super excited to continue learning! Making the decision of moving away from Seattle was personally a big move for me especially when I started out having no place to stay for the first 6 months. The combination of school and trying to find a place to stay was a brand new learning experience for me. The only bonus was the “house” I stayed in was mobile.. my car. It was a bit overwhelming at times, but now with shelter over my head and a year and a half of experience under my belt, I’ve finally got things under control! I knew I found my life’s career calling when I first moved down and I definitely went through an amazing transformation full of experiences.

I love spreading health awareness in the communities by teaching kids how to dance. Now I am ready to spread health on a broader scale across the country through Chiropractic! I am going to serve about 100 people per day for FREE.
On March 23, 2017, I will embark on a 10-day mission trip to Fiji to provide chiropractic care! I will be serving around 100 people per day. My team will consist of highly experienced doctors as well as other students in order to help as many people as we can. I strongly believe in the team going on the trip with me and I know we will have a huge impact on the lives of these people in need. This group of highly committed and focused individuals willing to spend 10 full days in local communities adjusting its residence.
Why Chiropractic? I see it as the future of health care! Chiropractic is the science, art and philosophy to a properly functioning mind, body and spirit. The science focuses on the brain and spinal cord, which act as the control center to our existence. The nerves that exit the spine transmit signals from the brain to every corner of the body and vice versa. This is why you are able to shake someone’s hand and feel the temperature of his or her skin at the same time! Minor dislocations, or subluxations, of the spinal bones (vertebra) cause the nerves exiting the spinal cord to become impinged. If there is an interference in the transmission of these signals someone will not be able to function at their highest potential, which can impact physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being. The art is in the chiropractic adjustments, which restore the brain-body connection to facilitate healing and improved nervous system communication.
Why do I need your help?
Why do I need your help? In order to make this trip a reality it is going to require some financial assistance. My goal of $3,000 will cover all potential expenses...flights, food, ground transportation and lodging (10 days). Food and proper hydration is especially important given the conditions and volume of people we will serve.
From the Heart: Thank you again for taking the time to learn a little bit about chiropractic and what I have in-store for this amazing profession. Asking family and friends for financial support is not an easy request for me to make. But if you feel it within yourself to support this cause I am fully committed and ready to represent you and myself in Fiji. Every dollar helps and if you could please share this page with others that would help as well. Your contribution translates to a feeling of appreciation that goes beyond words and it inspires me to excel past new levels of personal growth and service. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Donovan Smolich
