Surviving Breast Cancer

My name is Stephanee Chevalier. I am 27 years old. On March 9th, 2018, I got diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer. My world changed immediately after this terrible news. But I never questioned God or asked him “why me”? Instead I kept positive and I helped my family to stay strong for me. My cancer is called Her-2 Nue positive which is one of the worst forms of breast cancers people can get, but it’s the best to cure, which made me feel a bit better. I went to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, where I fell in love with the amazing staff and my amazing surgeon, Dr. El-Tamer. The support system I received in that hospital was unbelievingly great and I will be forever grateful for them. My surgery was 3/28/18 and the tumor was removed. This GoFundMe is to help me with my medical bills and my fertility treatment, my health insurance covers a small percentage of my treatments and will cover 0% my fertility treatment. Since I want to have children in the future, I have to freeze my eggs, and the clinic I want to work with expects me to pay $6,600 plus medications, but I also have to pay my medical bills from the surgery. I also need Chemotherapy in May followed by Radiation. The Chemotherapy can damage my ovaries and that is why I need to freeze my eggs. I will gladly accept any kind of donations even if it is $1, I’ll truly appreciate it. Thank you.
