Meagen's medical fund

One of our own has been stricken with a horrible disease that has no cure and no hope.  We as a work family are absoutely heartbroken and devastated.  Meagen Hakes is the sister of our Sundie Hessel.  Just 2 days ago, she was diagnosed with ALS.  I am sure that you all remember the ALS ice bucket challenge that raised money to help find a cure for this disease, and as much money as that raised, it is too little too late for Meagen.  
Meagen is ONLY 38 years old and currently has no health insurance, she needs immediate assistance to help with some testing that she needs (pulmonary function tests, swallow eval) just to start.  The only “treatment” is a new drug that came out a few months ago that will possibly slow the progression up to 30%. 
This drug is obviously very expensive and once she gets insurance (March 1st), it could take months to get approved.  Sadly, Meagen’s disease is progressing very quickly, she just started having some mild symptoms last May and now can barely speak, having trouble swallowing and is having cramped up hands and some balance issues.
My purpose for this campaign is to get as much money as soon as possible so that Meagen can start getting the help that she needs right away.  Meagen and her husband, her parents, sisters, in-laws and friends need to take care of her and try to assist in helping her check some things off of her bucket list and they need to be together and make memories that they can cherish forever.
This has hit way to close to home and I am asking, begging, everyone that reads this to please help in any way you can to help Meagen and her family as they try to live and cope and make wonderful, meaningful memories with whatever amount of time they have left to be together here on earth. 
We all say that life is too short, but until you hear a doctor tell you that you have ALS, you have no idea.
This is a very urgent and time sensitive request, there is no way to predict how much time someone with this disease will have left.
Alone we can do so little, Together we can do so much!!
Please help us to help Meagen and her family sing like no one is listening, love like you’ve never been hurt, dance like there’s nobody watching and LIVE LIKE IT’S HEAVEN ON EARTH!
