Elaine Santana’s Story
Elaine was born on July 9, 1979. In life there was nothing more important to Elaine than being a nurturing mother and wife. Elaine was an extremely fun spirited soul, who loved to travel, dance and make everyone around her laugh.
In June of 2016 Elaine was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although it was detected at an early stage her cancer showed to be aggressive. Elaine underwent double mastectomy surgery, chemo therapy and radiation treatment and she went into remission. Elaine kept up with with regular doctors appointments and was closely monitored. In August of 2020 Elaine started having trouble with vision in her left eye which prompted her to see doctor. After several test her doctor gave her the devastating news that she had stage 4 bone cancer.
Elaine put up a strong fight once again having surgery to remove the mass in her skull along with chemo and radiation treatment. However the cancer continued to spread to her spine and liver. Elaine lost her battle to cancer at the young age of 42 on October 9, 2021. Elaine was survived by her Husband Walter, 18 year old son Matthew, and 7 year old daughter Meliana. We all will miss and cherish the fond memories we have of Elaine, she will be in our hearts forever. Our family is grateful for any donations to help pay for funeral expenses.
