For nearly a decade, Santana Whitford has been a valued member of our coastal community. Anyone who knows Santana knows her as a dedicated, hardworking, and incredibly loving single mother to her four-year-old daughter, Arya. At just 35 years old, Santana has always been the type of person who shows up for others—quietly, humbly, and with a full heart.
This summer, Santana’s life changed in an instant. She was diagnosed with colon cancer, and on August 20th she underwent major surgery to remove the cancer. Since then, she has been off work, focusing entirely on healing and staying strong for her daughter.
Santana is currently undergoing eight cycles of chemotherapy, each lasting three weeks. This treatment has been physically and emotionally exhausting, and it has made working impossible. As many can imagine, the cost of living does not pause for illness, and the financial strain has begun to take a heavy toll.
We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden—so Santana can focus on what truly matters: healing, recovering, and being there for Arya.
Your support will go directly toward:
Rent and essential living costs
Food and household necessities
Any unexpected expenses that arise during her recovery
No donation is too small. Even sharing this page makes a meaningful difference. Santana is fighting with everything she has, but she shouldn’t have to fight alone.
Thank you for showing her that her community is behind her.
Together, we can help give Santana the stability and peace of mind she needs during the hardest battle of her life.
