London 2015 Varsity Cheer Tour
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Anniyah Bilal, I live in Plainfield, New Jersey and I am 16 years old. I am a cheerleader at Plainfield High School in New Jersey and I attend Union County Vocational Technical School in Scotch Plains, NJ. I am in honors courses, I am a junior, I play softball and participate in various charity organizations such as Relay for Life and local Feed the Hungry events.
This year will be my second year as a Varsity Cheerleader and I have been chosen as one of The All-American Cheerleaders. As an All-American, you are requested to go on tour to London, England. This is a very prestigious invitation as only a few cheerleaders are chosen to take this kind of adventure out of the country. I feel very fortunate to have been selected!
Haven been selected for this event also opens avenues for my future. The title presented will allow me to add to my resume for college and opens the door for scholarship opportunities not otherwise available. I am extremely excited!
Yes, I plan to go to college. My aspirations and future goals include working for the Peace Corps and later becoming a Linguist/translator and an Ambassador of the United States. I have a long road ahead of me and this is just the beginning, and what a beginning!
I will be traveling to London, England exploring the capital city with other future leaders. We will visit places like Buckingham Palace (home to Queen Elizabeth II) and the changing of the guard, Westminster Abbey (England’s most important ecclesiastical building), Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament (the country’s political heart). We have plans to make stops along Carnaby St and the Royal Palace at Windsor. The highlight of the adventure includes recognition of the group at The London New Year’s Day Parade where we will perform alongside 20,000 other young people! A total of 10 million people around the world are expected to be in the audience which will be both in person and televised worldwide.
The Varsity UCA/NCA/USA All American invitational is a prestigious award and I have been happy to accept. I will need your help and support.
Please consider donating to my cause. I'm hoping to represent other diverse minorities from around the world with this venue, your support is not only needed but it is also valued as I cannot do it without you. Thank you.
