On a day that changed everything, my sons and I were involved in a serious car accident. My son was airlifted to Stanford Children's Hospital, where he underwent surgery for a broken leg. The experience was terrifying, and seeing my child in pain is something no parent should have to go through. Now he faces a long recovery of 6 to 8 weeks, relying on a wheelchair to get around.

The accident left us without a car, as ours was totaled and I only had liability insurance. This has made it incredibly hard to get to medical appointments, run errands, and take care of my boys. With the holiday approaching, I want nothing more than to bring some joy to my children after everything they've been through.
