Join Maverick's Journey to Recovery

On June 27th, Antonio and Ashley’s 18-month-old son, Maverick, was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-cell ALL). He is now at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital beginning a long and difficult journey through treatment. This page is being started in hopes to ease some of the stress and financial burden that this young, single-income family will endure. This will give anyone the opportunity to support them during this incredibly challenging time.

Anyone who has met Maverick cannot deny how special he is. He is a remarkable little boy whose infectious spirit and warm smile touch our hearts. He is a bright light in the lives of many, and he is Tony and Ashley’s whole world, which this diagnosis has shaken. Let us stand alongside them during this challenging time, showing them they are not alone.

As you know, complex medical issues bring many uncertainties—and they can be very expensive. Our goal with this page is to raise funds that Tony and Ashley can use to relieve some of those stresses. Like so many families facing childhood cancer, the costs will add up quickly in unexpected ways: hospital stays, fuel for travel to and from treatment, meals, and the many unplanned expenses. Not discounting the medical bills that will add up with the long-term treatment plan that will inevitably result from this. This burden is the last thing we want them to carry as they focus on Maverick’s care.

In a time when the answer to “what can we do” is still unknown, easing some financial burden seems like the best and simplest way to start. There’s absolutely no pressure to give. This is simply a way to give for those who’ve asked how they can help. If you’re unable to give financially, simply sharing this page and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers means the world.
