My name is Ahmad, and I am 23 years old. I come from Gaza, specifically the Khan Yunis area, where my family and I once lived a beautiful and peaceful life. We had a warm and loving home, filled with dreams and hope for the future. But everything changed when the occupation came and destroyed everything. Bombs rained down on our neighborhood, reducing our home to rubble and taking away everything we held dear.

This is me

Our entire community was wiped out. Many of our neighbors—innocent children, women, and families—were killed. My family and I were forced to flee, displaced not once, but multiple times, searching for safety in a place where none seems to exist. We sought refuge in a makeshift plastic tent, but even that was burned down by the occupation, leaving us with nothing but despair.

These are the rubbles of our home

I am the oldest of four siblings, and the responsibility of caring for my family now rests heavily on my shoulders. My mother is very sick, battling diabetes and heart disease, and she urgently needs medical attention that we cannot provide. Before this nightmare began, I was studying fashion design, dreaming of a future where I could create beauty and inspire others. But now, those dreams feel like ashes.

We have lost everything—our home, our neighborhood, our sense of security, and our hope for a better tomorrow. We are struggling to survive, with no food, no shelter, and no way to protect ourselves from the cold, hunger, and danger that surround us.

I am reaching out to you, to anyone who can hear my voice, because you are our last hope. Please, help me and my family. We need food, shelter, and medical care for my mother. We need a chance to rebuild our lives, to find safety and dignity again. Please don’t forget us. Please don’t let our suffering go unnoticed.
