Our world turned upside down on May 22nd when Sophia was involved in a horrific car accident. The car she was in lost control and crashed into a tree. Miraculously, Sophia survived, but she sustained several broken bones and faces a long and challenging road to recovery.
To anyone who knows Sophia, knows that she is a sassy, spirited 8 year old who loves to play with her friends & do gymnastic stunts.
As her mother and primary caregiver, I need to be by her side full-time during this critical period. This means I won't be able to work, and our financial situation has become precarious. We need help to cover the mounting medical bills, therapy sessions, and the daily costs of Sophia's care.
Your support will help us in several crucial ways:
- Covering the medical bills from her surgeries and treatments.
- Paying for future doctor’s appointments and physical therapy sessions.
- Ensuring we have the necessary resources for Sophia's care and recovery at home.
We are reaching out to you, our community, for help. Any amount you can donate will make a huge difference and bring us one step closer to seeing Sophia back on her feet, smiling and playing like the carefree child she was before this accident.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly challenging time. Even if you can’t donate, sharing our story with others would mean the world to us.
With gratitude,
Sharon Avila
