Hi, my name is Duchess I am fund raising for my cousin Loneiceska Peel. She has been out of work for 8 month after having Breast Reduction.

Here is her story from her words:

I was born and raised in Newark New Jersey I move to North Carolina. I work in Childcare for 3years and then became a HeadStart Teacher Assistant I got my Associate Degree last year before my surgery I wanted a Breast Reduction to get some relief from my back,neck,shoulder on July 18,2022 was the day of my surgery I was so excited I came home the same day and I had my drainage tubes taken out July 26,2022 on my birthday. A week later August 2,2022 my life was turn upside down I notice my incision was coming open I immediately took pictures and called my surgeon she says oh it's fine your going to be ok just keep the area clean and put a gauze over it so I did just as I was told. The next day I was burning and in so much pain I took another picture and sent it to her my incision was opening up more she says come to the office she look at it and says oh it's ok your going to be fine I promise

you it's going to heal just keep it clean and keep it covered. Come to find out too much skin was taking off during surgery. By September the incision was even wider and lots of drainage at this point she ask me if I want to go to a Wound Care Clinic I said yes if they can help me heal why not give it a try so she referred to me to the Wound Care Clinic so from September 19 up to the end of January 2023 the Wound Care clinic had tried everything they can possibly think of to put on this open wound to help it heal and nothing help I was in so much pain and suffering and miserable. I took it upon my self to go to a different hospital and the doctor there said you are going to need a skin graft so you need to find a surgeon but what we can do is swab you for infection it came back that I had not one but two infections if I would had never went to another ER I would haven't know and was able to catch it in time. I also have a Wound specialist that comes to my house 3 times a week to help keep it clean also in the process of getting a Health Aid because I can't do anything on my own it hurts to move or bend over to even put clothes on and my parents have been out of work for 6 months to help me. My new surgeon wanted the Wound to dry out some to see if it will heal on it's on and it's not healing It's about to be March it's been a long 8 months of being in pain and burning through out the day and night nonstop crying to going into depression and getting on depression pills being out of work for 8 months and having to have a second surgery all over again. I have always worked been on my own since I was 17years old I have always been the one to help other no matter what I have always been a Genuine person now I'm asking for help I don't have

A set goal just anything will help me in this time of need I will greatly appreciate anything. Thank You
