Help Chase, new dad, beat grade 4 Brain Cancer!

Hi Friends, I have increased the fundraising goal of this go fund me page to specifically help with medical and health expenses. Thank you to those of you who already contributed to help compensate for lost wages. Your continued support has been a blessing to which saying thank you seems inadequate. They are truly touched at the generosity from all of you both in monetarily and thoughts and prayers. Lindsay and Chase are now researching life saving treatments and appreciate every day life has to offer. Please consider making a donation to help cover insurance and medical expenses. Dear Amazing friends and family we thank you for all your support, love, and prayers. We could not do this without you and appreciate you all so much. Chase have been fighting glioblastoma (grade 4 brain cancer) with courage and strength for just over 7 months now. His spirit of positivity and light has been an inspiration to us all. We have run into several obstacles as a result of his HMO medical insurance. The limited care has impacted his ability to have access to immediate care and specialists he so desperately needs to fight this. Recent MRI’s show fast growing tumor growth in the brain as well as the spine. We have experienced first hand that time is of the essence and delay in treatment is critical. We also know how crucial it is that Chase has options in regard to alternative treatments, trials, and immunotherapies. We are researching non stop nationwide. There are incredible hospitals in other states that we are unfortunately unable to get him to as a result of his limited health care plan. This struggle has been very frustrating and disappointing. The Curry family has the opportunity to switch from an HMO insurance to a PPO insurance, which is a blessing, but the financial part is what we need help with now. The PPO plan costs $1900 a month. The only way to cover this expense is the combined help of everyone as Lindsay just returned to work and is doing her best to balance caring for their 18 month old daughter and attending medical appointments with her husband Chase. As many of you know Chase is physically unable to work since March. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to cover the PPO premium, medical bills, medications, and his optune device. On Thurdsay, March 21, our beloved friend, caring teacher, and adoring dad Chase, was diagnosed with a walnut sized mass in his right frontal lobe. A later MRI showed that this mass in his brain was cancerous and it needed to be removed as soon as possible. Chase had been experiencing nausea, vomiting, and headaches for days/weeks intermittently since Thanksgiving. Thinking it was a gastro-intestinal illness, he was relieved as his symptoms subsided. However, in January this continued and again in March. Multiple doctors could not find any GI illness to explain his symptoms. When these symptoms were accompanied by a migraine, his wife Lindsay took him to the ER where they did a CT scan and found the tumor.
Chase underwent surgery March 25 where doctors miraculously removed the entire tumor. While we are all relieved, Chase and Lindsay received the sad news that his tumor is a stage 4 Glioblastoma. The Curry’s have a long battle ahead of them, trying to fight the aggressive cancer that will require chemotherapy and radiation.
Both Lindsay and Chase are teachers. Unfortunately, Chase has used up all of his sick days. Lindsay has also used all of her sick days because of her maternity leave the previous year. Your love, support, and prayers are greatly appreciated and welcomed as Lindsay and Chase move forward in this difficult journey.
