In memory of David Jones

It is with grief-stricken hearts that we share that David Jones passed away last night. He was 36 years old.

David leaves behind his wife, Kotey, and three beautiful children: Kinzley, 6; Kevin, 2; and Kyndall, three months old.

David had an infectious personality and was genuinely the most selfless and joy-filled person.

David loved impacting students. Whether it was helping with laundry, event management, or coaching, David made students light up. They knew he cared about them, and thus he changed more lives than we can imagine.

David was a giver, truly a person that sought to make others comfortable, even at his own disadvantage. And he lived more in his 36 years of life than some of us will in double that time.

In the coming days, weeks, months, and years, we will work to honor David’s legacy – because its worthy of celebration.

The Centre Athletics Department is organizing this fundraiser to send all funds raised directly to Kotey Jones, David's wife, and their children to help with medical and funeral costs and living expenses.
