We are the Code Crunchers  from San Diego, California! Our five-person  team is comprised of sixth and seventh graders who are all multi-sport athletes and musicians.  During this FIRST LEGO League journey, our team members learned to collaborate on ideas, share them with others, and work together to solve problems.
 
As a team, we have overcome numerous challenges such as trying to coordinate robotics meeting around everyone’s busy schedules. Because we are not only team members but also friends, we have a blast hanging out with each other.                                                          

The FLL experience really sparked our love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and we really want to get other kids excited about STEM as well. Through sheer dedication, hard-work, and excellence, we were able to attain numerous awards and made the most of the 2014-2016 seasons.

We worked really hard to constantly improve our robot design and performance  and our project presentation. That's why we feel so honored to be invited to REPRESENT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AT THE FLL WORLD FESTIVAL COMPETITION IN APRIL 2016. This is the most prestigious competition of the year to which 108 FLL teams from a pool of 29,000 teams from 80+ countries are invited.

This opportunity means so much to our team members because we have the opportunity to share our experiences with other kids from around the world and hopefully to inspire others to explore robotics and its possibilities.

With the honor of representing Southern California at the World Festival comes a great burden of costs. Our estimated expenses for this four-day competition:

Airplane tickets: $4,000
Registration:   $1,000
Hotel: $3,000
Booth/Giveaways: $500
Transportation once at destination: $500
