My family and I were in Jamaica when the hurricane struck. We experienced the fear, the destruction, and the overwhelming uncertainty firsthand. That experience, combined with my deep connection to Jamaica through my family, makes it impossible for me to stand by without taking action. This effort is a small way to give back to a place and a community that has shaped so much of London culture.

This GoFundMe has been created to support people in Jamaica who have been devastated by a Category 5 hurricane. The funds will go directly to local food banks and shelters—places offering immediate relief to those who have lost so much. I’m in direct contact with friends and family on the island, which helps ensure that every penny reaches the people who truly need it, without unnecessary intermediaries.

To raise awareness and support, I will be walking the length of Jamaica—146 miles—over 14 days, symbolically crossing one parish per day. My walk will take place from 14th November to 6th December.

Each walk will pass through well-known Caribbean communities here, and the routes have been planned near Tube and train stations so that anyone who wishes to join can walk part of the day’s journey. If you’d like to take part, please reach out—I’m more than happy to share the full details.
