Support Tamara's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
I am reaching out to you on behalf of my friend, Tamara Stonebarger. She is facing an incredibly challenging time. In 2022, Tamara underwent surgery to remove a tumor pressing against her brain. After a difficult recovery, she was hopeful to resume her life and career as a Licensed Professional Counselor. However, in a devastating turn of events, the tumor has returned much sooner than expected.
Tamara’s upcoming surgery on October 3rd, 2024, will be for a grade 2 meningioma, now growing inside of her cerebellum. While this type of tumor is benign, it is rapid growing and likely to return in the same location. Usually these type of tumors return in 10-20 years. Tamara's was found only 14 months after "ringing the bell" and completing treatment in 2022.
The emotional toll this has taken on Tamara is immense, and the financial burden is daunting. With surgery and more post-therapy ahead, she faces not only medical expenses but also the challenge of daily life expenses during her recovery. As a self-employed professional, Tamara relies on her income to cover living expenses and medical costs.
Tamara’s life is filled with love for her two corgis, a passion for counseling, enjoying time with family and friends, making wood crafts with her parents, and cheering on the KC Chiefs. Tamara has dedicated her life to helping others heal from trauma, and now she needs that support in return.
We are raising funds to help Tamara cover her upcoming medical expenses, daily living costs during recovery, and any additional treatments she may need. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in her life.
Please consider contributing to Tamara’s GoFundMe campaign and/or sharing her story with others. Your support means the world to her, and together we can help ease her financial burden during this difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
