Hey everyone!!! Myself and Sue J are raising money to help one of our dearest best friend Laura Bond offset medical expenses. On August 23rd Laura was diagnosed with a rare condition called MALS. Median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS) is a condition in which the median arcuate ligament presses too tightly on the celiac artery (a major branch of the aorta that delivers blood to the stomach, liver, and other organs) and the nerves in the area (celiac plexus).

Initially Laura was hospitalized at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital then transferred to University of Pennsylvania for higher level of care. She was in the hospital for a total of 10 days at that point. Upon discharge our friend was home for only a week and had to be transfered back down to Philadelphia again.

Laura is one of the kindest most caring souls we know, she is an amazing ER nurse that has saved so many lives throughout her career, and taught numerous other nurses to do the same, leading to making a huge impact to our community. Laura has and always will be there for her family and friends when they need it without hesitation. She has helped raise her grandson whom is her pride and joy. Sue and I are asking for all of us to help her now at this time. Mother Teresa said "It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving."
