Retired Afghanistan veteran Karla Roche's resilience is being put to the test after being struck by a car while walking across a parking lot. The driver of the vehicle, a 72-year-old with limited insurance of 30k, has left her with ER and hospital bills exceeding 55k currently and future medical in recovery. Currently, she has a sprained left foot and is looking to fuse her right foot, repair her broken nose, and fix her teeth, a true test of her strength.
