Carolyn Kids Academy

Carolyn Kids Academy is passionate about promoting and helping children to love God and learn.   

We are building a school in Rulindo, Rwanda.  Some of the children will be walking 10 km to school every day. Thanks to generous donations we were able to build a small kitchen area in order to provide these children with a little bit of food each day.

The goals of Carolyn Kids Academy:

1. School supplies to help foster a good environment where the children can learn to read, write, and work together.

2. Provide a small meal for the children each day.

3. Supplying the children with school uniforms made by the local village women. School uniforms are simple but mandatory in Rwanda.  

4. The local village Parent Group will ensure:  

- higher literacy rate.  (all children of every social standing will be encouraged to come to school)

-community service. (every last Saturday of the month the children will work with parents on community service projects)

- work ethics (education can help change futures and teach life skills. 

-multicultural awareness and tolerance. (Rwanda went through a horrible genocide and multicultural tolerance is of the highest priority)

-help girls with safety and education (many girls drop out when they reach 12 years because they lack sanitary supplies and support) 

-decrease girls' dropout rate with support and parent education. (we will be educating parents on the importance of girls continuing education.
