NICU Kitten Nursery Garage Renovation
Donation protected
Hi y’all! My name is Adale, I am the owner, founder and director of Tiny Paws Nicu.
I have been rescuing since I was just 14 years young by fixing 35 cats in our barn. One of the cats missed her spay appointment and gave birth to 4 little kittens… she got very ill and abandoned her kittens. Leaving my nunnie (grandma) and I the responsibility of caring for these 4 fragile kittens. Unfortunately, we didn’t have proper knowledge or supplies, so all 4 kittens did pass away. I had been watching Hannah Shaw, kitten lady’s YouTube videos. Her videos really sparked my interest. I wanted to try and raise a litter of orphaned kittens again, but next time with proper supplies and knowledge…. In honor of the 4 kittens we weren’t able to save. Ever since April 2020, when I got my first litter I have been nonstop raising little tiny orphaned kittens. I have saved hundreds of kittens through bottle feeding, tube feeding, educating, and even by spaying and neutering house cats, feral stray community cats and more. After rescuing religiously since 2020, I have realized it is my true purpose in this life. I am beyond fascinated at the strict care of these vulnerable neonatal kittens. I have learned so much, and continue to do research daily. I will do and learn everything I can to make sure every kitten that enters our care gets everything they absolutely need to have their best chance and get what they need to thrive.
Unfortunately, my landlord… out of the blue decided that I was no longer allowed to rescue here. Rescue can be a lot, and it’s not for everyone. He just doesn’t want it on his property anymore. I have no other option as to respect that so I don’t end up homeless. I truly left like my world was ending when he told me no more. I felt like I was nothing, I became very depressed… especially seeing all of the kittens out there who needed a caretaker and I wasn’t able to help at all. I still am very depressed, I’m not able to bring kittens here even for a 5 minute assessment. All of my supplies are piling in my room and I need a place to run our Nicu nursery as soon as possible.
One of my bestfriends/foster & her family offered their garage up for me to setup. I genuinely couldn’t be more thankful. I would feel very safe being right there, if I got stuck in Altoona in the winter I know I’d be safe and could just stay there… no to mention I could easily bring my dog with me. I do want to eventually grow to a bigger building, that would hold our adoptable kittens for people to come meet! But for now this is perfect and way better then nothing.
We can get started on cleaning this garage up IMMEDIATELY… but we need your help to order a dumpster to get it cleaned out… put flooring down.. and whatnot. This gofundme will go towards renovating this garage so we can get setup and start saving lives!
It is $430 for a 20 yard dumpster. We may need two of these to get it cleaned up but I’ll update as we go… regardless all money donated will go towards this renovation.. top priority is getting it cleaned out… if there are any donations leftover, they will go towards vetting and supplies.
If you cannot donate, please consider giving this a share! I cannot wait to be saving babies again! ❤️
