Devin's Rock

Devin was one of my best friends growing up. He was tragically paralyzed in a car accident 6 years ago. His mother, Lisa, without blinking an eye, got 2 full time jobs and has put everything she had into caring for her son the last 6 years. All of you who know me, know how I feel about family. Nothing means more to me than family and Lisa has been a perfect example of what being a real mother is. Last Friday Devin went into the hospital and very quickly declined and unexpectedly passed away. Nothing anyone can do or say will take the pain away from any of us, especially Miss Lisa. However, I wanted to do something to help in any way to take stress off of her so she can deal with her terrible loss. I want to make this thing as large as possible and raise enough money to take a dent out of the debt that has accumulated over the years taking care of Devin. Please try to make it out to this event and donate, purchase raffle tickets, bid on auction items, purchase food, any little bit will help! We will also be doing a WOD to symbolize carrying someone else's load as Lisa has carried her son for years! This woman is an amazing woman of God and I want to take any stress I can off of her. I will be in Louisiana visiting with her the weekend so I will not be present. However I will type something out to be read aloud for all of you to hear. I am still struggling with accepting all of this right now so I think it's best I type out my feelings and thanks to all of you anyway. I am trying to keep this a secret to surprise her so please if you are back home, contact me by cell phone to donate and do not tell her!
