I'm D.J.(they/them), a proud Black nonbinary trans person working and living in the Boston area.
I am leaving an abusive domestic violence situation/breakup. I have been displaced as of last week(April 1). I do not have the full funds, at this time, to make a permanent move.
This is a mutual aid request to help me find a stable, consistent place or a permanent space. The violence I experienced has resulted in my belongings currently needing to be moved into storage and my laptop being destroyed. I wish not to go into details publicly about the experience that I had from my previous relationship, but it's been one of the most difficult experiences in my entire life.
I would be grateful for any aid, support, or help in any form that you may be able to give.
You can contact me via IG @mxdjbaker.
If you like to donate on a platform other than this, my cashapp and venmo are: @mxdjbaker
I am also able to offer services as a reciprocal mutual aid to others:
I am a birth and gender doula, gardener, forager, fermenter, cheesemonger, and Certified Master Naturalist. I love our community, good food, and being proudly queer.
Housing search:
I am looking for a living arrangement that is drug-free, preferably, for I am allergic to weed/cannabis. My job is in the South End of Boston, I am open to spaces that aren't in that area. My budget is from $800-1.3k/month.
For transparency, the total associated costs with this move and transition look like:
First month, last month, and security: $2.4k-3.9
Storage for approx 2 months: $300
Uhaul truck rental: $150
Replacement laptop: $1k
Missed time from work: $1k
Total: $4.8k-6.3k
More transparency:
Total support via Venmo/Cashapp(as of 4/9): $2000
