D.J.'s Double Knee Replacement Fund

Hello! My name is David Frick. My wife Nancy and I are raising money for DJ as he will shortly be undergoing two total knee replacements. Let us explain why we are doing this.
We met DJ about 12 years ago when my wife Nancy and I began going to Main Street Church. DJ’s journey could be a movie; he is our hero. DJ made a very bad decision was he was 13. 27 years later, when he was in prison he made the decision to change his life. He has now been clean and sober for 16 years.
DJ worked hard to get off of SSI, went back to school, started his own painting, landscaping and plowing business, and has employed a number of community members. He has worked so hard to get to where he is and through it all he has endured severe arthritis and bladder cancer. While still undergoing periodic chemo treatments for the bladder cancer, the pain in his arthritic knees has become unbearable. He now has to have two total knee replacements as soon as possible.
He does not need money to cover the medical bills; he needs money to continue to make payments on the loans he has taken to buy his trucks, plows and other business equipment and to pay his rent and living expenses for 5 months.
He would never ask us to help him, but, help him we must. He has come so far over these 16 years and it doesn’t seem right to have his business come to an end and lose his apartment because he needs to have his knees replaced.
We need to raise $10,000.00. Hopefully, this can get him through the next 5 months—though he may need more depending upon the length of his recovery.
Let’s join together and get him through this difficult period in his life. We want to let DJ know how much we appreciate all he has done to change his life and inspire all of ours.
