Dear everyone with a good and generous heart. I am fundraising to help a relative (name withheld for confidentiality) who died in the Middle East due to threatened abortion, but her remains can not be shipped back to to the Philippines . Her family has been waiting for her remains for more than 2 months now and are still grieving for their loss. The longer she could not be shipped home, the harder the grief and pain the family endure. The family is poor, which is the reason why she had to risk her life working in the Middle East, so far away from her family and children only to end up ending her life in a tragic way.
Due to circumstances beyond her control, she was out of status as per her visa, thus she could no longer avail of the free shipment expenses and other benefits from the government. which leaves us to wonder why she could not be afforded the assistance to fund her transport when her being a citizen never stopped and was not forfeited.
Thus, as a way to help the family and the deceased, this fundraiser is intended to fund the transport of her remains for her family to give her the proper burial rites and final respect.
