Hi, I’m Chanette, and I’ve called London home for the past nine years. After I recently turned 30, I was wondering what the next big thing would be, and a small dream that I'd thought wouldn't be a thing for many years started tugging and saying "Now is the time".

So I'm raising money to become a doula!

If you’re unfamiliar, a doula is a trained birth companion — someone who offers emotional, physical, and informational support to people during pregnancy, labour, and the early days of parenthood. In moments that can feel overwhelming, a doula is a calm, caring presence.

A few things doulas do is:

Provide non-judgmental, compassionate care

Help people feel seen, heard, and respected

Share knowledge so families feel confident and empowered within labour

Support better birth experiences, especially in communities that often go unheard

My goal is to do a doula course in November with BirthBliss Academy.

This 4 day course, will train me in becoming a full spectrum doula, and help me get certified through Doula UK. Your support will help me cover the cost of the doula training, materials, and certification so I can begin supporting families as soon as possible.
