Hello everyone,

As you all know, Jeff is about to graduate after almost 3 years of consistent effort in his MFA. Recent years have been very demanding for him: new role as a father, supporting his family and community, constant moving, travelling a lot, finding a job up to his abilities and in the direction of his goals, to meet the deadlines set by the school and not to mention the ongoing challenge of navigating these harmful tides of society as a black man.

Completing his master’s degree is now his priority, as it is a huge mental load and source of incessant stress. That said, financial instability is a concern that hampers his ability to graduate.

That’s why I created this GoFundMe. Last year, you were very generous to help fund his semester. I don’t have any expectations for this year, but I’d still like to try again. It’s no loss to try. HE IS NOT AWARE OF THIS FUNDRAISER AND LET’S KEEP IT AS A SURPRISE FOR NOW. I feel he was very grateful last year and doesn’t want to abuse our/your generosity. That's probably why he didn't ask this year. But I believe in the help of our community. I believe in the wave of grace that he brings to every individual he meets. And I believe in the fact that I am not the only one who sees it.

His deadline to pay for the final semester is May 22, 2025. That date is fast approaching. I don’t know how much money we can raise in such a short time, but every dollar raised will help no matter the final amount.

Comme vous le savez tous, Jeff est sur le point d'obtenir son diplôme, après presque 3 ans d'efforts constants dans son MFA. Ces dernières années ont été très exigeantes pour lui : nouveau rôle en tant que père, subvenir à sa famille, déménagement constant, voyager énormément, trouver un emploi à la hauteur de ses capacités et dans la direction de ses buts, respecter les délais demander par l'école et sans compter le défi permanant de naviguer dans ces marées effrayantes de la société en tant qu'homme noir.

Terminer sa maîtrise est maintenant sa priorité, puisqu'il s'agit d'une énorme charge mental et source de stress incessante. Ceci dit, l'instabilité financière est une préoccupation qui le nuit à obtenir son diplôme.

C'est pourquoi j'ai créé ce GoFundMe. L'année passée, vous avez été très généreux pour aider à financer son semestre. Je n'ai aucune attente concernant cette année, mais je préfère tout de même essayer à nouveau. On ne perd rien à essayer. IL N'EST PAS AU COURANT DE CETTE COLLECTE DE FOND ET GARDONS-LA EN SURPRISE POUR LE MOMENT. Je pense qu'il a été très reconnaissant l'année passée et ne veut pas abuser de notre/votre générosité. Mais je crois en l'aide de notre communauté. Je crois à la vague de grâce qu'il apporte à chaque individus qu'il côtoie. Et je crois au fait que je ne suis pas la seule à voir ceci.

Sa date limite pour payer son dernier semestre est le 22 mai 2025. Cette date arrive à grand pas. Je ne sais pas combien d'argent nous pouvons ramasser en si peu de temps, mais chaque dollar ramassé aidera peu importe la somme finale.
