Hi, my name is Arkeiska Jefferson from Dallas, Tx. My sister Demondria Jefferson was one of the many victims of the North Texas Tornados (Rowlett).  After taking a shower around 6:50 pm the night after CHRISTMAS, Demondria Jefferson, a mother of 5 beautiful girls, home was totally destroyed in a Tornado, in Rowlett, Tx. Demondria recieved a call from her mom telling her to get to safety, theres a tornado near you. Confused but listening, Demondria and her friend made their way down the stairs heading for safety. As they neared the bottom of the stairs, the tornado first hit her house from the back where the family dog Levi was. Debri went flying everywhere. Demondria friend saw the house coming down and pushed her to safety. Demondria and her friend were now trapped in her leveled 2 story home.  She tried calling the police from the small space she had around her and the call would not connect so she tried facebook. It worked! She sent a message out on her facebook account asking someone to come help them. Her sisters and brother got the message and were on their way. Meanwhile neighbors arrived and started digging them out of the home. She was rescued naked so she only escaped with her life. Her leg was severely sprained, body cut/bruised down one side and her friend head was trapped under the couch and they couldn't get him out.  Once freed her brother carried her to safety and then to the hospital. She lost everything! Her car was also heavily damaged. Unfortunately she had no renters insurance and only liabilty car insurance.  All of her childrens christmas gifts and gifts she had purchased for others were all destroyed. Her purse containing her car keys and personal info were displaced by the tornado. Not to mention that it continues to rain on her pictures and everything that was in her home scattered about by the tornado. Her house and the whole block she lived on has been leveled. Demondria need everyone who truely, truely care to be there for her right now. Her kids were not home when the storm hit and I'm so glad because from the looks of that house, those girls would have been hurt or worse, dead. They were and are still out of town with their grandmother. When they come home it will be to a temporary place to live no cloths, shoes or christmas gifts to open because their home is no more, Everything is gone. Let's help this beautiful young lady get back on her feet as soon as possible. The money collected will go directly to her to repair the damages to her car, replaced all her and her childrens personal belongings and to try to get her life back to as normal as possible before its time for the girls to return to school. Demondria works as a security guard while interning for a  medical assistant degree. She finally finished her degree program a couple of weeks earlier and is now doing her final externing hours.
