Django is a wonderful 10-year-old terrier mix and lives a healthy and active lifestyle with a loving family. Earlier this week he suddenly became acutely ill, vomiting and diarrhea with loss of appetite and energy. Because this was so out of the ordinary, John immediately took him to the emergency vet for assessment.
The original estimate at the emergency vet was over $1,700. John opted for treatment and lab work and Django was conservatively diagnosed with gastroenteritis. The bill for the emergency consult, blood work, and prescribed medications was still over $700. After returning home, Django showed some improvement but today he took a turn for the worse. He's showing signs of pain, he's lost his appetite and has started vomiting again. John has taken Django back to the emergency vet for additional testing including an abdominal ultrasound so that we can find out what's making him so sick.
Django is one of the happiest, friendliest terriers you could ever meet and he loves to meet new people and dogs on his daily walks. I know this is a tough time for everyone, but if you have anything to spare for little Django, we would be so grateful. Please help Django get back to his happy, healthy, energetic self!
