Jessica Lopez is a freshman at East High School only 16 years old and the victim of the senseless drive-by shooting on Monday, March 7, 2022 in front of her school. Her mother, Guadalupe Torres, is a resident of Des Moines, a single mother and a hard worker, but right now she has to stay in the hospital with her daughter, while fighting for her life… While Guadalupe sits next to her daughter not knowing what will happen then, She is not working but still incur various medical bills. She will need a lot of support and help to get through the next few months or more. Jessica will need help to return to being the happy young woman she was before this tragedy.
