Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and every donation will help.
This September I’m going to be climbing the highest peak in North Africa, aka Mount Toubkal, nestled deceptively snugly in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This will be the highest peak I've ever reached at 4000m, even as a keen skier it's unusual to get above 3,500m. There’ll be around 30 of us, all employees of KPMG, embarking upon the ascent, camping in refuges at various heights/sub-zero temperatures and scrambling across peaks and boulders for up to 6/7 hours a day, amongst increasingly depleted oxygen levels. This will be an empirical study on the truth behind Marvin Gaye's 1967 smash hit..
In addition, and to get things started, I'm also going to be running the Hackney Half in May (aiming for 1hr 45mins), this will be the furthest I've ever ran in one sitting. Having ran to keep fit for around ten years now, I've finally decided to see how far I can take this, so am starting with a half and then who knows... Maybe a mountain :p
My fundraising target is almost as dizzyingly high as the mountain at £3000 - So I thank you in advance for your contribution, to this cause that means so much to me.
