Hi, My name is Ashley. I'm the daughter of Ray and Nicky Grindle. Late monday evening of December 18th, Ray started having chest pains and shortness of breath. His wife Nicky rushed him to the hospital in the middle of a severe storm with multiple road closeures, and when they arrived at the hospital, they found out he had suffered a heart attack. The hospital wanted to do futher testing, so he waited in the hospital for 3 days while they monitored him and finally got a heart cath done on Thursday. The results were devistating, and he is scheduled for a tripple bypass on December 26th. He will need to be in the hospital until then and 5 days after, plus has 6+ weeks of recovery ahead. His wife has been constantly by his side since monday night and will need to be there to help care for him in his recovery, making them both out of work. I am doing this fundraiser to help them both through this difficult time in the midst of the holiday season to help with all the medical cost and loss of household income from missing work. Those of you who know Nicky and Ray, know that they go out of their way to help if they are able, and now they are the ones in need of help!
